  • Custom PC design and development focusing on Investment Accounting software using Microsoft Visual FoxPro and Microsoft Access.
  • Part founder and developer (along with my wife!) of Lodge-ical: The complete and customized reservation and management software solution for lodges, hunting preserves, guest ranches and outfitters. Program was developed using Microsoft Access.
  • Also have done quite a bit of web design and development using Adobe Dreamweaver, Adobe Fireworks, Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop Elements.

Programmer Analyst, Bozzuto’s Inc., Cheshire, CT June 1994 to January 1994

  • Responsible for the design and development of custom grocery accounting and distribution applications using RPG IV and CLP on an IBM AS/400.
  • Developed, programmed and tested applications to enable migration to a new grocery accounting and distribution system.

Programmer Analyst, American Red Cross, Farmington, CT, January 1991 to June 1994

  • Designed and developed accounting, blood testing and distribution systems using CLP, RPG III and RPG IV on both an IBM System 38 and AS/400.
  • Designed and developed utilities and applications to facilitate the migration to an IBM AS/400 from an IBM System 38.
  • Maintained existing systems using CLP, RPG II and RPG III.
  • Used Oracle query to validate data that was migrated to a Local Area Network from the IBM AS/400.

            January 1989 to January 1991

  • Assisted with the design and development of a large investment accounting and brokerage system for various corporations, including the world’s fourth largest bank.  Written in CLP and RPG III on an IBM System 38.
  • Traveled worldwide to client sites to install and implement software applications and enhancements.

Investment Clerk, Advest, Inc., Hartford, CT, November 1986 to January 1989

    • Automated the Treasury Control Department using Lotus 1-2-3.
    • Invested millions of dollars daily in repurchase agreements and certificates of deposits for Advest’s customers.
    • Performed various banking and budget-related tasks in the Treasury Control and Budgeting departments.

    • Managed a fly fishing lodge with a staff size of 26 people.
    • Developed, tested and maintained an application using a relational database.  Functionality includes a client database, reservation and confirmation processing, transactions detailing a guest's stay at the lodge, and employee payroll.

    • Visited a client to gather design specifications for a system that was being designed for their needs.  Delivered software in three phases to this client and demonstrated the functionality of each module.
    • Installed software upgrades at various client sites nationwide.
    • Managed a software conversion project which cycled through the formulation of a workplan, the review of client's data, the supervision of data input, client training on the system's functionality and the final migration from the client's old system to the new system
